Daniela Uribe is a Colombian designer with her own line of footwear that transports wearers to ‘Daniela’s Glamourland.’ Her collection debuted for the first time at Flying Solo’s AW22 show during New York Fashion Week. During the show, Daniela’s shoe collection was paired in conjunction with clothes from SK Creations, NMB New York, Bye Bambi and Va’ceiA.
The shoes come with a cushioned insole for added arch support and padding. The collection features luxury, Italian-crafted shoes that focus on comfort and style while also maintaining a platform for inclusivity. “We are all uniquely equal and we should be praised and [applauded] for being [whomever] we want to be,” says Uribe. These shoes have been designed with the intent to accommodate everyone — the sizes and styles are completely genderless so that everyone can experience life in ‘Daniela’s Glamourland.’
The Miami-based brand is known for its sleek designs ranging from formal heels to casual sneakers and wintery boots to summery sandals — all of which are showcased in the Uribe’s runway debut, 12-pair collection. With an array of different options, Daniela has created a collection for all seasons. You will find that every shoe in the collection can be fashioned for any kind of occasion.
The ‘Love Yourself’ pump comes in red and black patent leather with a fuchsia and black strap respectively with gold chain embellishments. The ‘Be Yourself’ pump comes in three colors, gold, black and white, with a logo heel and a strap with metal chain links. The ‘Unity’ sling comes in both black and an embossed purple snake print and a leather ruching across the foot and silver beading.
In a more casual, day-to-day outfit, you can stay warm with the olive green and black patent leather ‘Inclusiveness’ bootie. You can also dress down your outfit with the ‘Together We Can’ sneaker, which comes in camel, porcelain white, olive green and fuchsia. The sneakers are accessorized with a chains and a buckle.
The collection is complete with a pair of strappy ‘Empower’ sandals in fuchsia and black with gold accents and a floral fabric and chain design. The sandals are matched by two pairs of gold ‘Empower’ earrings each with accents of purple or teal.
Uribe has created a fun, cohesive collection for shoe lovers everywhere. The collection will be available for purchase at a pop-up on March 1 in Soho’s independent designer platform-brick-and-mortar, Flying Solo, and on the brand’s website.
